How to Fix Paper Missfeeds – Copiers, Fax, Printers
Paper missfedds can be quite frustrating to say the least. How to clean paper feed rollers properly can save you time and money.
Most all copiers and printers have rubber tires that grab the paper to feed it into the machine. While some are difficult to get to, cleaning paper feed tires is pretty easy. Just look at where the paper is in the feed port. Inside above first part of the paper, there should be some rubber tires or wheels. Just take a good paper towel with a little water on it and rub all of the feed tires till no more black comes out on the towel. Now try the machine again and it should feed properly. If not, try cleaning more. If paper still won’t feed, it may be due to a mechanical failure and you need to have a service tech fix it as it will require taking the machine apart.
